COLIN QUINN COMMITO, an associate with the Firm and member of the defense litigation team, which focuses on municipal liability, commercial transportation, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, construction negligence, construction defects, and products liability. Mr. Commito is a trial and appellate attorney with extensive experience who has tried several civil and criminal cases to verdict in state and federal courts.

Mr. Commito began his legal career as a criminal defense attorney trying criminal cases in the Cook County court system. He then served as law clerk to Justices John B. Simon (ret.), and John B. Griffin (ret.) of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. After his clerkship, Mr. Commito worked as a Plaintiff’s personal injury and federal criminal defense attorney. He most recently served as a Principal Assistant State’s Attorney in Lake County, Illinois, where he was in charge of the Forfeiture Division, bringing in rem proceedings to recover currency and property from criminals on behalf of the State of Illinois.

Mr. Commito brings a unique perspective to the Firm’s clients having tried cases on both sides of the aisle in both the civil and criminal arenas.
